The need to grow faster, extend farther, and deploy at less cost has driven network providers and organizations to deploy IP networks. Though many protocols of IP have been deployed, SIP has become the de-facto method of IP distribution.
SIP allows organizations to communicate based on user identity rather than on association with landlines, mobile phones, and emails, associated with a particular user. The integration of communications and the elimination of communication silos enable a fully unified method of communicating amongst teams, partners, and customers.
Because not all vendors interpret SIP in the same manner, it is important that organizations work closely with System Integrators to ensure that a migration path is clearly outlined and implementation targets are smoothly met.
